What Is Shaved FUE?

Shaved FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) is a permanent hair transplant technique in which the hair at the back of the scalp is shaved to approximately 1–2 millimeters. This allows the doctor to clearly see the direction of the hair follicles before performing the harvesting process.

This technique is an internationally recognized standard used worldwide, as it increases precision in graft extraction, reduces twisting or damage to the hair follicles, and allows a large number of grafts to be transplanted within a single day.

Main Mechanism : Hair follicles are extracted one unit at a time (follicular units) using a small instrument measuring 0.7–0.9 mm. The grafts are then implanted into thinning or bald areas using MediHair’s Dull Needle Implanter (DNI) technique, which helps minimize tissue trauma and ensures a natural-looking hairline and hair direction.
